Description
Made by Blacksmith Bernie Tappel of Osage Bluff Missouri, these 'flat jaw' tongs are extremely well made. Flat jaw tongs are a must for every blacksmith/bladesmith and work well for a variety of tasks. These tongs grip from 1/4" down to the thinnest stock you want to work. Ideal for knifemaking. Some Mastersmiths use two sets of flat jaw tongs to straighten blades that warp during the heat treating process.
They also have a fullered section on both jaws to grip 'round stock' up to 1/2".
